1. Introduction
This chapter is intended to show the applicability of the Boundary Element
Method (BEM) to Dynamic Soil Structure Interaction (DSSI) problems. To
show this a review of the work carried out by the author and his co-workers
during the last twenty five years is presented. Reference is made to the
work done by many others, however, the chapter is not a state of the art
review of all the work done in the field of numerical dynamic soil-structure
interaction.
